Employee Blogs

Company Blogs are a fantastic way for a person to get an idea of a company before they actually begin to do business with them, to learn about the people a company has working for them, or merely to learn about what it is a company does. We invite you to look at who we are a little more closely by reading some of our blogs.

Greg Futrelle

"My blog is a personal perspective on my work. I like to relate things back to what makes EntryPoint successful as a company and what makes me successful as a consultant. If I can throw in any specific tips about GTS in the process, that is icing on the cake. With my many years of experience in foreign transportation in logistics and IT roles, as well as formal training in multiple schools of problem solving and process improvement including Deming, Kepner-Tregoe, and Six Sigma I can provide readers with some observations about what works and what doesn't. If you are interested in SAP, Global Trade Services, solutions to trade compliance issues, understanding what happens during an implementation project and learning more about the philosophy of ‘process improvement’, I hope you will enjoy and even comment on my blog." ~Greg Futrelle

Michael Molek

I've accumulated a "global trade" hat collection.

Two decades ago, while still in college, I started as a "runner" for a customs broker (ah, the memories of those care-free days!).

The other hats in my collection include; import customs brokerage, export order management, distribution supervisor for a pick, pack and ship operation, and corporate trade compliance.  I've been responsible for the successful cross-border delivery of shipments of many kinds – from small package "next flight out" emergencies to multi-modal container to "cookie sheet" consolidations on air carriers.  I've supervised small teams of compliance professionals and I've lead a team of union distribution workers... during a contract year!  I've been lucky to travel the world through this professional journey and I've even enjoyed a "hot springs" bath with my logistics counterparts in Japan.  O.K., I wasn't wearing a hat then!

My SAP career started when I contributed all that experience to a "Big-Bang" SAP implementation.  Since then, I've been hooked on SAP but SAP/GTS has been my real passion for the past five years.

My goal for this blog is that you take a nugget of my day-to-day as a global trade consultant and use it to your advantage somehow in your professional or personal life  If nothing else, I'll try to make you laugh (mostly at me, which shouldn't be too difficult).

Laughter alone has benefit!
